After playing soccer last fall and spring, Luke was vehement in his desire to play baseball next. Not T-BALL but BASEBALL, Mom. Well, unfortunately for my precious boy, BASEBALL is not offered for his age group so he has resigned himself to playing T-BALL, for crying out loud! He's had several practices but his first two games were cancelled due to the weather, MAJOR disappointment which was followed by ice cream so that made up for it. Last Thursday night, we had a scrimmage against the team we were scheduled to play our first game against. Luke batted eighth in the lineup and here's how that went:

Luke got a single on his first at-bat and his team, the Bats went on to win 15-13 over the Rivercats. Luke played centerfield and did not see any action out there but he was pretty much ready most of the time. Unlike one little boy on Luke's team who kept walking off the field because he was bored. Luke has been making progress each time and we have practice again tonight so we'll see how it goes.
