Time flies...

So, once again, I have been incredibly bad about posting updates here.  All I can say is that life has been so full and so fun that I rarely have a few quiet moments to sit down in front of the computer to write.  I will give it a go now but I can't promise that I will get a full update since Luke is watching a movie and Katie should be waking up soon!

Back in February, we sold our beloved home "Hogg Heaven" and moved to "the rent house" on the south side of the lake.  The sale was necessary (but sad) since we had outgrown the house and the school district was not up-to-snuff for my soon-to-be kindergartener.  The night that we got all of our stuff out and said goodbye to the neighbors (a Sunday night), I was stricken with a severe attack of what we later found out was diverticulitis.  It was so bad, in fact, that I actually had micro-perforations of my colon that actually healed themselves (thank you, God) and did not require emergency surgery.  Also, during this time, we discovered that I have a 6 cm wide lesion on my liver that it turns out is benign but will need to be checked annually.  I totally get the colon problems since I am a carbohydrate addict and junk food junkie but the liver?  Really?   Come on!  My days of destroying my liver ended a long time ago!

It will be a bit of an ongoing situation since I had a second bout with this stuff about 3 weeks ago.   I guess it is finally time that I listen to all the doctors I've been to about "eating right" and "exercising".   Apparently, I am one who needs to be slapped in the face sometimes to get the message!

So then it was time to move on to the next phase of the 5-year plan that Andrew and I envisioned 5 years ago which was to buy a lot in the area where we really wanted to be.  We have now done that and are in the process of working with a designer to put our dreams onto paper so we can get the new "Hogg Heaven" built.  It is so exciting!!!  I had a meeting with the designer today and we are inching closer and closer to our final plans so we can go out for bids to the builders we have been talking with and make this a reality.

As usual, I have so much more to say but Luke is asking me to come watch the end of his movie with him so I am going to have to come back to this in a little bit.  Can't pass up an opportunity to snuggle my favorite boy!!!
