Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Rain is predicted all week long. 70% chance today, 70% tomorrow, and 50% the following day. I don't know how much action the house will see this week, but lets hope its at least some.
The painters were there yesterday, or otherwise known as Memorial Day. Marlina, Kate and I went into the house to see all the progress that had taken place over the long weekend. Luke decided that he would rather stay in the truck and play on the tablet instead of looking at "same old boring cabinets". We must have walked around talking, looking, taking notes, dreaming, etc. for at least ten minutes before Marlina said that she wanted to check out the kids' floor. She hadn't been up there for 30 seconds before she came racing down whispering "There is someone up there." Keep in mind that there are no cars or trucks in the parking area, and that we have been loud and inside for at least ten minutes. It turns out that there was a painter working on the upstairs. He was lying on his back caulking the base boards. His co-workers took the van to go get some lunch. All in all, it was pretty funny to see Marlina race down the stairs.
