So long, summer!

Wow!  I cannot believe how quickly the summer has flown by and I REALLY cannot believe that Luke starts Kindergarten on Monday!  It's funny because back in May I was struggling with what I was going to do all summer with both kids being at home all day.  I mean I really worried that it was going to make us all crazy and that we would be miserable every day.  But as I sit here now on the LAST weekday of summer, I have to say that it was mostly pretty AWESOME!!  Sure, there were moments when I wanted to pull my hair out and wished I was more of a drinker but really, we have had so much fun and have done so much that I think all three of us would agree that it was a success!  And actually, I can't really tell you HOW we spent all of our days but there were many trips to the beach and Palm Beach (we all have lovely golden tans!), trips to the indoor jumping place, movie theaters, museums, Kemah, and even a super cool trip to downtown Houston with Dad!  So while I was fretting over the fact that we did not take a family vacation this summer (in anticipation of the upcoming build of Hogg Heaven 2), I would say that Luke and Katie had a fabulous summer and do not even know or care that we did not "go anywhere".
