Finally!!!

Hey everyone, this is Andrew.  Marlina and I are trying something new.  I have joined forces with her writing this blog for the time being.  Why, you may ask?  To describe the indescribable.  To document our labor of love.  To chronicle history being made....Quite simply, to share our thoughts and feelings about the construction of our new house, Hogg Heaven.

As Marlina has shared with you, we have purchased a lot in a place we have longed to live in.  After months of design, negotiation, compromise, and struggle, we have finally broken ground.  Unk started digging the retaining wall last week shortly before Thanksgiving, and last night, he filled up the large trench with concrete, marking the first sense of permanence to me.  The next step will be the laying out of the actual building itself and to construct the retaining wall.  This should happen this week, so things are moving fast.

Hopefully, between the two of us, we should be able to keep this blog updated pretty often, if for nothing else but for the sanity of us during this process.  Please wish us luck with this grand endeavor.
